More battle
Panera was a great place to meet on the 26th. It was so busy and so loud no one noticed the extreme battle taking place at Forrest and Kathryn's table.
our traditional lunch christmas at Panera on Dec 26th
Brian and Alyssa remember that this is shareware and you can download this and print one. It is an exquisite group shot! Thanks Kathryn!
Forrest and his warrior
Forrest did really well this year letting the adults talk. He is in first grade this year.

On December 26th we met Alyssa, Brian and Forrest at Panera. This was one of the small group shots.

Let's have a repeat performance from the slide show!
there was one photo in the slide show which was taken the year Aunt Mabel turned 100. The party was in the little community room and it was equipped with a cross and alter. Hence, Joel and Kathryn put on an amazing display of zeal. This photo was to replicate it.

our family pose for Christmas 06 at Nore Christmas in Crete
On Christmas day Kathryn drove me to Crete. Myer had driven down the night before to spend time with Joel. This picture takes place after lunch and gifts.
showing the slideshow to B.J.
On Christmas Eve day Myer and I drove to Norfolk to my mom and dad's house. Kathryn was already there. She and Grandma had made butterhorns all day the day before. After eating I showed mom the slideshow of the CD I made called the Christmas Mix.

physical excitement for the portable DVD player
Kathryn can barely contain her excitement for getting the portable DVD player from Grandma B.J. and Grandpa Cliff.
Grandma showing off Kathryn's gift
The pop up card that Kathryn made for Grandma B.J. had a picture of Myer and her on the waterfall. They were little and Myer was holding polly and she was holding puffy.
Cliff opening Kathryn's Handmade card
Kathryn made some fabulous cards with pictures that pop out so that when you stand it up on a table it becomes like an easel. I can't remember what picture she chose for Cliff- wait i do, it was when we put the Christmas tree train in the garage and it was a picture of the two of them and the train.
norfolk nap
After lunch Myer snuggled up on the white sofa to nap since he had stayed up so late the night before making Arhia' Christmas movie. I didn't take any pictures of the table set up in the living room, but Myer might have some on his set when he uploads them.
showing the slideshow to B.J.
for christmas gifts this year I made a CD of pictures called the Christmas Mix. I searched for all the pictures I could find from all the past years of Christmas, even when i was a little girl, and put them onto a picture CD. When I got to Mom and Dad's House I showed them the slideshow of the pictures on my G-4 so that when they opened their package they would know (sort of) what was on it.
Santa Matt
About two weeks before Christmas Matt had to try on his Santa outfit. He was Santa for the christmas party put on their neighborhood association.
I think he looks really good! Magi got real aggressive when he had it on and barked and stalked him.

todd and kathryn 06
Next came the Christmas Card from Kathryn which had a great picture of Todd and her. Todd's mom had taken the photo and given Kathryn some copies to send out. I really thought it was a great photo!
our holiday movie this year was The Holiday
Arhia took this photo of the family three in front of the movie poster. It was the movie where Cameron Diaz and Cate Winslet 's characters trade houses for the christmas holiday to get away from their boyfriend-burdened lives. The character that Jack Black played was incredibly unique. I really enjoyed when he used his voice to scat the tunes of popular soundtracks while he and cate were in the video store.
picnic in the car
Our Christmas Celebrations began on a wonderfully warm December 9th. We wanted to do our annual Christmas family movie before Arhia went home to Wisconsin. Mom picked the movie The Holiday and on the spur of the moment we got all together and headed to the afternoon movie. We were worried we were going to be late but instead we had enough time to go to the grocery store and get some items for our Car Picnic!
this year I have been scanning so many old photos for the archives that it is hard to uncover the most recent photos without pouring through 1966 girlscout banquets, historical shots of grandparents who passed away years ago or cute but embarassing shots of kathryn sucking her finger. I thought it might be fitting to put together a Christmas blog and tell the story of the many celebrations discovered this year.
